A large number of household detergents and cleaning agents contain components called phosphates, which have been known to cause environmental hazards. The most controversial uses involve dish-washing and laundry detergents, and some states have imposed restrictions or bans on their use. I’m planning to do a cookout and NH Music Festival concert again this year. I’ll be doing it on July 23rd, the program for the evening is Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Schubert’s Symphony #3, and Glass’s Company for String Orchestra. We’ll meet at my house at 5:00 for drinks and chicken on the barbecue, and leave for Plymouth about 7:30. The concert starts at 8:00. The 8th Annual LWIA Summer Social was once again blessed with beautiful weather. Over 35 lake owners and their families attended the event, bringing with them a bevvy of delicious dishes to share. Don Thibeault, LWIA President and skilled grillsman, handled the burgers and dogs with expert hands. A big thank you to The Anchorage for offering their lawn, grill and beautiful views to us again. The Kayak & Canoe Race, held on September 1, was a huge success, and quite a site the 10 minutes prior to race to watch so many kayakers paddling in from all sides of the lake. Unfortunately, I did a terrible job of getting names of the kayakers. My apologies for not getting this posted sooner.
