Great Turnout for 9th Annual Summer Social
The 9th Annual LWIA Summer Social & Potluck, held on Saturday, August 15, was once again blessed with beautiful weather. Successful 2nd Annual Canoe/Kayak Race
The LWIA’s 2nd annual Kayak & Canoe Race, held on August 15, was a huge success with a sampling of racer of all ages. Cutting Down Dead Trees Along the Shore
Several properties have had dead trees fall into the lake this past year, prompting a question about when can a tree that appears dead or diseased be cut down to avoid it falling into the lake (a costing considerably more to remove). 2015 Fishing Derby & Kayak/Canoe Race Set for Aug 15
This free event is open to Lake Winona residents & their families only Fishing Derby Time: 8 am-11 am (Final weigh in by 11 am) Where: Weigh in at Lorna Fenenbock’s beach – 31 Anchorage Road – Come by car or boat! Awards: Ribbons for all participants. Award certificates for 1st and 2nd place fish weight for each species in each age category. 2015 Summer Social & Potluck to be Held Aug. 15
The LWIA’s Summer Social and Potluck lunch will be held on Saturday, August 15, at noon. The Anchorage Lodge has once again graciously offered their location for the event, which will allow us to host the event rain or shine. We’ll eat at 12:15, then review a few business matters at 1:30 pm. Burgers (beef and veggie), hot dogs, water and lemonade are being provided by the Association. Group Trip to New Hampshire Music Festival
I’m planning to do a cookout and NH Music Festival concert again this year. I’ll be doing it on July 23rd, the program for the evening is Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Schubert’s Symphony #3, and Glass’s Company for String Orchestra. We’ll meet at my house at 5:00 for drinks and chicken on the barbecue, and leave for Plymouth about 7:30. The concert starts at 8:00.
