LakeFest and Raft-a-Palooza Scheduled for August 3
On Saturday, August 3rd, LakeFest 2014 will be held at Endicott Rock Park in the Weirs. The Festival is free and open to the public; parking is free.
Help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive plants and animals and be part of our attempt to break the Guinness World RecordĀ® for the largest canoe and kayak raft on a single body of water. The goal is 2,100 canoes and kayaks to form the largest free floating raft in the world.
On-land, the free family-friendly festival is expanding, with more food vendors, additional programs, exciting new activities, popular live bands, and more. In addition to offering a fun-filled day of paddling and on-shore entertainment, LakeFest also educates the boating public about the Clean, Drain & Dry! technique to prevent the spread of aquatic nuisance species.
