At the LWIA August 13 meeting, new officers for the coming 2-year term will be elected. After years of dedicated service, LWIA President Don Thibeault, Vice President Bob Proulx, and Secretary Nora Foster are all stepping down. Jay Buckley has generously agreed to continue as Treasurer. Association members are being sought for these positions. General duties as stated in the LWIA By-laws are as followings:

PRESIDENT:
The president shall preside over all regular and special meetings of the Association and the Board of Directors, and shall be a member of all committees, ex-officio. Other committees may be appointed or elected for various purposes at the discretion of the President.

VICE PRESIDENT:
Vice President shall assume all the powers and duties of the President if that office is vacated, and shall preside over all meetings in the absence of the President.

SECRETARY:
Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings and handle all correspondence.
