Winter 2021 Newsletter
Hope all are enjoying the balmy weather recently. Its 3 degrees as I write this and the forecast for the upcoming week is for snow. Welcome to NH!
The LWIA board held its winter meeting by Zoom on January 30th. Highlights of the meeting included:
- We set tentative dates for two meetings.
- The first is scheduled for Saturday June 26th. Plan A is to have the meeting at a yet undetermined outdoor location. This will be dependent on the status of COVID and if it doesn’t appear safe we’ll fall back to plan B which will be a Zoom meeting. We’ll keep you posted on the status as we get closer to the date.
- The second is the annual Pot Luck and Meeting, currently set for Saturday, August 7th. Katie will contact the folks at the Anchorage as that is such a pleasant location. As with the 26th meeting the status of this will be dependent on maintaining a safe environment.
- Officers:
- The President, Treasurer and Communications director positions are up for reelection.
- Katie would like to step down as President. We would all like to thank her for her leadership with LWIA. We are looking for interested parties to fill the position and if you or anyone you know are interested please contact any of the board members to suggest nominees (via email would probably be best).
- Jay and Mark are interested in maintaining their positions as Treasurer and Communications Director, respectively.
- An Owners/Renters two pager has been created. The first page is a cover letter and the second is designed for posting in some conspicuous location as a reminder. Use of refrigerator magnets comes to mind. We’d like to thank Kay, Tricia, Wendy and Don for their work on this.
- Last year we had cyanobacteria blooms on the lake early in the year. If you spot what you think is a bloom we would appreciate it if you would let any of the board members or Charlie with the Water Committee know so we can confirm and alert the DES.
- The President, Treasurer and Communications director positions are up for reelection.
Hope all are healthy, safe and warm…….
