The 9th Annual LWIA Summer Social & Potluck, held on Saturday, August 15, was once again blessed with beautiful weather. Over 30 lake owners and their families attended the event, bringing with them a several delicious dishes to share.  Don Thibeault, LWIA President and skilled grillsman, handled the burgers and dogs with expert hands. The LWIA’s 2nd annual Kayak & Canoe Race, held on August 15, was a huge success with a sampling of racer of all ages. Big thank you to Ted & Donna Saia on West Shore Rd for coordinating this year’s race. Several properties have had dead trees fall into the lake this past year, prompting a question about when can a tree that appears dead or diseased be cut down to avoid it falling into the lake (a costing considerably more to remove). The LWIA’s Summer Social and Potluck lunch will be held on Saturday, August 15, at noon. The Anchorage Lodge has once again graciously offered their location for the event, which will allow us to host the event rain or shine. We’ll eat at 12:15, then review a few business matters at 1:30 pm. Burgers (beef and veggie), hot dogs, water and lemonade are being provided by the Association.
