Group Trip to New Hampshire Music Festival
I’m planning to do a cookout and NH Music Festival concert again this year. I’ll be doing it on July 23rd, the program for the evening is Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Schubert’s Symphony #3, and Glass’s Company for String Orchestra. We’ll meet at my house at 5:00 for drinks and chicken on the barbecue, and leave for Plymouth about 7:30. The concert starts at 8:00. Volunteers Needed for Lake Winona Lake Host Program
Our Lake Host Program will kick off this year on June 6 and run through August 23. We are in need of many volunteers to man the boat launch on Saturdays and Sundays. If you are available to volunteer, please go to our Lake Host scheduling calendar to select the dates and times you can assist. Rising Concern Over Milfoil Prompts Lake to Pay for a Lake Host Program
The NH DES has identified 14 exotic aquatic plants that are prohibited in New Hampshire due to their abilities to choke surface waters, harm native vegetation and wildlife, impact recreation, and lower property values. Thankfully, Lake Winona has not been infiltrated by an exotic species. Big Turnout for 2014 Kayak & Canoe Race
The Kayak & Canoe Race, held on August 16, was a huge success and a showdown between the Islanders and the Anchorage. Racers met at Ted & Donna Saia’s dock on West Shore Rd. Good Food, Weather & Meeting at 2014 Summer Social
The 8th Annual LWIA Summer Social was once again blessed with beautiful weather. Over 35 lake owners and their families attended the event, bringing with them a bevvy of delicious dishes to share.
