Waukewan Winona Watershed study & public meeting

The Lake Waukewan and Lake Winona Watershed Steering Committee has conducted a10-year study focused on long-term water quality and lowering in-lake phosphorus, sediment inputs, and polluted runoff in the watershed. The extensive findings have been made public and can be reviewed by clicking the links below to the pdf documents.

A public meeting to discuss the findings and recommendations will be held in-person at the Meredith Community Center at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. After the meeting, a 30-day public comment period will open during which the public is encouraged to provide comments on the draft watershed plan.
