At our June Association meeting we discussed using phosphate free and other environmentally friends products for cleaning as we are so close to our beloved lake. Senate Bill 89 Passed by NH House of Representatives

The NH House of Representatives passed Senate Bill 89 yesterday by a vote of 225-142 – a convincing margin. SB 89 will protect our state’s loon population by banning the sale and freshwater use of toxic lead fishing sinkers and jigs weighing one ounce or less–still the largest known cause of New Hampshire adult loon mortality.

Bernard Fred Avery, 65, of West Shore Road, died November 22, 2012, at his home after a battle with cancer. Born in Plymouth, NH on September 18, 1947, he was the son of Bernard F. and Christine (Lagill) Avery. He grew up in Ashland and graduated from Ashland High School.
