Great Turnout for 13th Annual Summer Social
The Lake Association’s 13th Annual Summer Social & Potluck, held on Saturday, August 10, was blessed with beautiful weather (minus the short rain shower that forced us into The Anchorage for the business meeting). Over 50 lake owners and their families attended the event, bringing with them delicious dishes and desserts to share. Former LWIA president Don Thibeault and West Shore Rd resident Ted Saia handled the burgers and dogs with expert hands. A big thank you to The Anchorage for offering their lawn, grill, lodge, and beautiful views for our event, and to Lisa Furlong for managing the event. The business meeting kicked off shortly after 1 PM and covered a range of topics. Meeting minutes will be emailed when available.
LWIA members elected Kate Hedberg as the Association’s new President. Kate, who joined our lake community in 2015, has been the LWIA’s appointed Communications Director for the last three years. Long-time Plymouth resident, she has been a nurse for almost 40 years and a Family Nurse Practitioner for 15, and currently works at Mid-State Health Center. She served on the Lakes Region Mental Health Center Board of Directors and was a member of the Plymouth Elementary School Board for 12 years. We are pleased to have her in this new role!
